Who we are
Mike Simpson
Mike Simpson graduated with honors from the University of South Dakota in 1989 and from the University of Michigan Law School in 1992. Since beginning private practice in 1995, he has limited his practice to representing injured people in workers’ compensation, personal injury, long term disability, insurance bad faith, and Social Security Disability cases. Mike loves what he does and considers it an honor to represent hard working South Dakotans in these often complicated and stressful cases.
Mike is a member of the State Bar of South Dakota, the Workers Injury Law and Advocacy Group, and the South Dakota Trial Lawyers Association. In 2008, he was selected by his peers as one of the “Best Lawyers in America” in workers’ compensation law. Mike has been listed in this publication every year since.
Mike and his wife Marinell have six grown children between them - Scott, Jake, Danny, Shila, Halley and Jessa. In his free time, Mike enjoys spending time with family and friends, sports, traveling and reading.
